The line-graph shows the number of people using a metro station in Paris over a given day of year.

The number of passengers rises sharply in the morning reaching a peak of 400 at 8 am. After the morning peak there is a steady drop to 300 at 9 am and less than 200 at 10 am. Between 10 am and 11 am there is a slight increase. The number plateaus just below 300 between 12 noon and 2 pm. In the afternoon, there is a decline in the number of citizens using the station to just 80 at 4 pm. The evening brings a huge increase from 200 at 5 pm to almost 400 at 6 pm. The number of passengers tapers off slightly after 6 pm, but falls quickly to 120 by 8 pm. After a small rise at 9 pm, the number tails off to 120 at 10 pm.

All in all, the time series show that the greatest number of passengers gather in the station early in the morning and also early in the evening.

نکاتی که نویسنده بایستی رعایت کند :

1-نکگاه کلی به نمودار خطی و پارافریز کردن موضوع

2-توجه به شیب و روند نمودار (نمودار بالا یک نوع نمودار تک خطی یا تک لاینی است )

3-توجه به نقاط peak نمودار (روند تغییرات در چه نقاطی به حد بالا و در چه نقاطی به حد پایین رسیده است )

4-توجه به قسمت هایی از نمودار خطی که بدون تغییر باقی مانده است در این صورت از افعال remain stable  و یا stabilize   استفاده می کنیم .

5-نوشتن افعال و قیود متنوع (نویسنده نباید از یک فعل بصورت مکرر استفاده کند )

The line graph compares the fast food consumption of teenagers in Australia between 1975 and 2000, a period of 25 years. Overall, the consumption of fish and chips declined over the period, whereas the amount of pizza and hamburgers that were eaten increased.

In 1975, the most popular fast food with Australian teenagers was fish and chips, being eaten 100 times a year. This was far higher than Pizza and hamburgers, which were consumed approximately 5 times a year. However, apart from a brief rise again from 1980 to 1985, the consumption of fish and chips gradually declined over the 25 year timescale to finish at just under 40.

In sharp contrast to this, teenagers ate the other two fast foods at much higher levels. Pizza consumption increased gradually until it overtook the consumption of fish and chips in 1990. It then levelled off from 1995 to 2000. The biggest rise was seen in hamburgers as the occasions they were eaten increased sharply throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, exceeding that of fish and chips in 1985. It finished at the same level that fish and chips began, with consumption at 100 times a year.

نمودار بالا یک نمودار 3 لاینی می باشد که میزان مصرف فست فود توسط نوجوانان را نشان می دهد

یکی از تکنیک های پارافریز کردن موضوع تغییر بازه زمانی نمودار خطی می باشد مثلا در نمودار بالا بازه زمانی بین سالهای 1975 الی 2000 است که 25 سال می شود دواطلبان پس از جمع و تفریق کردن، بازه زمانی را به مدت تبدیل میکند مثلا 25 سال به ساختار 25-year period  تبدیل خواهد شد .

نکته دیگر در صورت چند لاینی بودن نمودار داوطلبان بایستی لاین ها رابا یکدیگر مقایسه کنند

استفاده از واژه overtake  برای زمانی است که یک لاین از لاین دیگر سبقت گرفته و بالاتر می رود .مثلا در نمودار بلا مصرف پیتزا از مصرف ماهی و چیپس سبقت گرفته است .

نکته دیگر آنست که داوطلبان بخش overview  نامیده می شود را با واژگانی همچون overall  و یا as it can be clearly seen  آغاز کنند .
